Photo gallery comments are fun!

Was browsing thru some of of Superdave's Alaska photos today and found this great shot:

So I left a comment, then browsed all the comments that have been left for photos in the gallery by clicking the "Last Comments" link while in the photo gallery(most are from me, but many of you have already left some too.)

Got me thinking, that with all these great photos we are amassing, that we should be posting more photo comments.

So next time you see a good, funny, or ridiculous photo in the gallery, leave a comment for the photographer(you have to be logged in.) Come up with a good caption, compliment him, tell him he's nuts, or that he better stop taking photos of your wife!

Zane,
I finally read your article on picture resizing and it came together. I couldn't get gimp to run so I use Irfanview. For everybody that is as inept as I am you can get it here http://www.irfanview.com/

Dave,

It's not just you. I too have always used Irfanview so, when Zane posted about gimp I sorta' half heartedly checked it out but have stuck with Irfanview. I will say Zane has this place pretty dialed in and that has a lot to with it's popularity. Way more action here than some of the other forums I peruse. I guess I'd better check out the comment section for the photo's. I wasn't even aware of that feature.

Thanks Mark. If I could work on this site all day long, I would. But, real bills require real projects, so it's off to bill those clients...

GIMP. Sorry you weren't able to get it running you guys. GIMP does require the GTK+ support libraries to be installed, and though it is available as a seperate download,it should automatically install it for you.

The download page is here: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

What kind of error do you get?

Infraview looks good too, so if that's working for you, don't worry about it. It should be good for basic photo resizing/converting/etc. Now, if you need to paste Jeff's face on an action figure, you're gonna need Gimp.

I just can't get the hang of this photo editing, I tried to edit this untouched photo of Neil Armstrong to no avail
