That would suck to fly 2200 miles & come up 13 short! The FBO I use to work at sold their Navajo & it ended up in Oahu. I recently spoke to the new owner & they fly golf charters between islands. Had a huge ferry tank installed to cross the big pond.

just got back from 10 days on Oahu tonight... this was lead story on their news. guy was uninjured. last week a 62 foot yacht caught fire off Waikiki and burned and sank while we watched from the poolside bar at Hilton...

According to my buddy who's tower supervisor at Oakland tower this pilot tried to depart twice and aborted with fuel problems. He went out to Tracy to have some work done on the fuel system and then headed down to Monterey. My buddy said he was glad he left the area.

yup Stayed at the Hilton also... small world...We were in Alii tower...from the 28th till we left last Sat....I saw that beaver on floats fly over Waikikii every day..
