Piper lance

hey guys I am looking for some info about the Lance I would love to get my hands on a POH. I am going to be getting checked out in one in the end of may and my CFI has given me some homework. The plane is 8 hours away from me right now so I can't get to the POH that the plane has. This is the T tail model

Re: Piper lance

I love the Lance, both the "T" and the regular tail. If you can figure out a way to fly both, you should. They take off and land very differently (in terms on elevator authority at slow speeds). one is not better than the other, just different.

Re: Piper lance

I have heard that the T tail vs the regular was a big difference. I got ahold of a POH and it looks like a pretty nicely equipped plane. I am leaving the US right after getting checked out in the lance for a Mission trip (I might get to fly a 182 out there) that will be for 8 weeks then when I get back I'll be going straight into nursing school so I probably won't be flying both models of lances but if the opportunity knocked I wouldn't refuse.

Best of luck in your mission work.

If you are not familiar, check out iTec and Steve Saint, especially the Missions Dilemma section.
