Piper PA-22/20 landing gear

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has a copy of a 337 for PA-22/20 landing gear additional brace to streamlined strut?

Cheers

Have you tried Sounds Aero Maintenance?

http://www.soundsaero.co.nz/

Their logo is a PA22 on the HD landing gear, so I imagine they know how to do gear conversions. :D

Eddie Trimmer is the first one to do that modification to the Univair gear... I have done two follow on 337 approvals off of his paperwork...

Sounds Aero's Pacer has Trimmers PA-18 gear STC installed...

Ah - sorry, I thought you were asking about a different mod.

I have been told that even with the additional brace on the stock gear, they still fold up the legs if you give it too much side-load. I was told that by someone who folded them up...

Cub gear are more rugged, and your take-off performance will be better too, because your wallet is so much lighter.

That said, my gear can't take side-loads either

Wish I would have taken Eddie up on his recommendation/gear reenforcement modification... he may have caught the cracks that lead to my gear failure.

Eddie e-mailed them to me... I may still have the e-mail saved... otherwise, just call him and ask for them... he may talk to you for a while..

I've about given up singing this song because of lack of participation, but if you have a useful 337, we can add it here:
