Piper Pawnee
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
Personally, I find it difficult to accept struts on the upper wing surface. The intersection acts like a big speed brake, and the effect is very noticeable
Anybody have time in a Pawnee Brave? It didn't have the struts did it?

Wow I just go a call telling me I was the proud new owner of a 260 HP Pawnee

I guess we need to be careful what we wish for. I feel a trip to Wups around the corner.
Will you guys quit coming up with these silly ideas, I am having a tough time keeping up

Congratulatinos! that should be a cool ride.
Not to sidetrack the thread...but along the same lines a 230-300 Cessna Agwagon makes a pretty neat "fun" plane too.

Wow, congrats again. Have a BLAST with that rocket ship! As mentioned in this thread, you could turn that into the ultimate back country escape machine or air camper. A super cub wing with 260HP will allow you to embarrass a LOT of people at a STOL contest!
