Where's Gateway #-o Man, I been pushin this place for years. With any luck, you'll see next month =D> . It's about 40 south of Grand Junction Colo. http://www.gatewaycanyons.com/ on the Delores River. Some real good canyon flying down to it. And It just keeps gettin better from there on down to Lake Powell. They got food, better than most in the 4 corners area.

I gotta drop a radiator off to a guy in Nucla, so should be a 9CO3 10:30ish. I want to go around to the regional FBO's and see if they/or anyone will give us a discount on fuel for the flyin.

Well it's not paved so I'd have to get permission from the school's insurance company to land there...and that's not going fast, I've been asking for permission to others for a month now and haven't heard anything back yet. So I guess I won't make it!

I can stop and get ya! You could stop in Del Norte as well and ride over. We will probably leave around 9. If Laura and the kids go I will have one extra seat, if they end up not going, I will have lots of room.

Re: Plannin on Gateway for Brunch Sun 3/21

I'll have to think on it tonight. Nucla would be at least a 2.5hr from Denver...so 5hrs at $110/hr plus some fuel that "should" be reimbursed. Del Norte is around a 1.5 from Denver, so it shaves 2hrs off the rental cost going that way and allows me save money and still give you some gas cash Tom.

The crappiest part of the Citabria, is I have to drive 90 minutes just to get to it...hahaha. That translates in to some mighty early morning to go out for breakfast.

Plus, my wind limits are still conservative in that thing...so ya...we'll see. I am off for the next 9 days so I plan to fly it a couple times.

How about Gunnison? Montrose? I have to warn ya: only 7 hours on an overhaul, I will be following roads to MTJ. Lots of meadows on the Ump plateau.

I like the way you think but I doubt I can be covered on anyone's insurance or trust with my experience...haha. I think I'm just under 30hrs of TW time now...10 in Super Cubs, 12 in the Citabria, a couple in a Tcart, and then some other various things that don't really matter.
