Playing in the snow

I haven't been doing much flying the last few months. The combination of doing a few things to my airplane, and not wanting to spend mony renting a local junker have demotivated me for some reason. As the spring weather stabilizes I'll be back in the air, but for now I have been obsessed with skiing.

This weekend was stellar in the Sierras with well over 2 feet of super cold, light snow. I skied all 3 days (I can barely walk tonight) and had a great time. Here are a few pics.

Anyone else with some fun snow related activities, let hear about em. This of course includes ski flying, snowmobiling, whatever.

Today at Mt. Rose, we hiked above the lift and found some stashes:

I would kill to do some ski flying!!! Anyone on here from the west coast/cascades/sierras region do any ski flying? It seems like it's not as popular here as places like Minnesota and Alaska.

I haven't put my airplane on skis yet, but there are a few guys who fly out of Morgan County airport (42U) and put skis on in the winter. We hope to live right by that airport in a couple years, so maybe then...

PS. Zane, I broke my helmet last week. Caught the heel edge downhill side while trying to bleed a litttle energy for a ramp. Didn't know I broke it until I took it off at the end of the day. Rang my bell pretty good when it happened - didn't realize how good of an investment that helmet was until well afterward though!

What kind of wing tips are those? They look bigger than the factory droop tips.
