This is a common question.
A Private Message (PM) will remain in your Outbox until the recipient reads it. It will at that point be automatically moved to your Sentbox. While it's still in the Outbox, you can edit it, or delete it.
Sometimes people don't get the PM notification email, or their browser blocks the popup to alert them that they have a message waiting. And some people don't check BCP 20 times a day... (what? crazy...)

I thought that checking 20 times a day is a requirement for membership. Twenty times a day that is all we ask?
