I just received a note from the folks who market the Sunlinq fold up Solar chargers.

If anyone is interested in organizing a group purchase ( 25 is the magic number), these guys would probably be interested in working with BCP on a group purchase.
These things fold up to about the size of a large wallet and weigh less than a pound. Will charge batteries of all types.
I organized one for the Maule group, but don't have the time to do it again.
Cheers,
TD

I think it was about $150.00 ea
The prices may have gone down with the product aging.
They come in a case of 21.

I'd get one. If enough others chime it it'll be worth pursuing.

BCP Poser.
Life is good. Life is better with wings.
My Sunlinq panel saved me yesterday. I was flying around after the new jug installation so I was nervously attentive to oil and temperature gauges. All the while the alternator switch had been bumped to 'Off' and I didn't know it.... until I tried a restart after refueling at a neighboring field.
I hooked up my battery to the Sunlinq for about 15 minutes. Climbed in, it started right up. No worries.
I'd buy it again if I needed to, FWIW.

I would consider it also, however, there are several on that page, which one are we talking about?

Your saying it charged an aircraft battery in 15 min? I thought those things were trickle chargers at best.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for one (1). Who's keeping track of the potential orders?

!2 or 13 watts at 12 volts is about 1 amp I think I will just hand prop it.
Or start the honda EU1000 that travels with me all winter it puts out 8 amps.
Last winter while in Wy I hooked the battery up and plugged the pan heater in it ran 7 hrs before running out of fuel. Battery and the engine were happy.
Unless you have a ramp queen 1 amp isn't getting you anywhere

If you had not hooked up the Sunling, and just let the battery sit for 15min it would have started too

Batteries recover.
The whimpy solar charger had nothing to do with it. 1/4Ah (1A for 15 min) into a 23Ah battery is peanuts.
