So, except for the fixed leading edge slots this Highlander is similar to the one that Just Aircraft demoed at OSH? Are the long strut type shocks oil? This plane peaks my interest and that doesn't happen often. Cool video thanks.

Re: Post Oshkosh Party In Ohio

This is the plane that was demoing at Oshkosh this year. The slats are not fixed, they pop out at a certain speed. I am not sure about the gear shocks in oil, probably just a spring. He did say they each travel 18 inches!

Re: Post Oshkosh Party In Ohio

Those struts are most definitely NOT just springs. They are nitrogen charged shocks. That is why the plane can be just dropped from several feet up and not bounce.

I fly and sell the Highlanders on the western side of the country, so just let me know when y'all might be in the market for an amazing new airplane!

This new wing is a game changer even without the awesome new landing gear. I should have a set on my Highlander in a couple months. :D

Geez, it's like electronics, you buy something and six months later it's already outdated!!! #-o

Any idea when the new wing will be available in kit form?? (51% and all...) I havent built my wings yet, but I'll be starting on it soon Really just curious, I'll let others work the bugs out first

After seeing other video from oshkosh showing the landing with the new gear it's really growing on me. I'd like to see the fuselage structure for the new gear setup, I wonder how hard it would be to modify an existing frame, and what the weight penalty would be. I'd almost rather have the landing gear with its ability to soak up a minimal flare, precision landing rather than a super slow, high alpha approach where you can't see where you're going. Just thinking out loud
