PPonk props

Hello everyone I’m doing a O 470-50 pponk upgrade in my Cessna 182p and was wondering what prop I should use to get maximum speed, I’m not to worried about climb performance just want as much speed as I can get. 2 blade 3 blade doesn’t matter. Any figures you have would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: PPonk props

I can't speak to your question but will say that I found the guys at MT to be pretty knowledgeable and helpful when I bought my prop. I would ask them directly.

I have the 2 blade on my PPonk 182F. I cruise 120mph on EDO amphibs.

Re: PPonk props

yer nice one. I spoke to them and they didn’t have any stock left in the US and freight to Australia from German was going to be a big killer so I decided after talking to the guys at Pponk that the Hartzell 3 blade seems to be the favored prop and has the best cruise and less noise, not that that worries me.

Re: PPonk props

Flight Resource has both the 83' 2 and 3-blade props in stock for immediate shipment. We also have a bunch of orders in production that could have one of those shipped direct to you in Feb when they are completed in the plant. The 2-blade is for sure the fastest on your rig.

Prices go up January 1. Contact Larry Schlasinger at FR now if you want to lock in 2019 prices with a deposit. His direct email is [email protected]. I am out of the office until Jan 1.

Merry Christmas!
