Prayers for Amanda Franklin

Not sure how many people have been keeping up on her but things are looking terrible this week. Her infection is back worse than ever and it has pretty much wiped out all of the epicells that they planted. It's in her blood and lungs this time. According to Kyle they are pretty much back to square one. She's hung in there for 70+ days now. From what I have heard burn patients suffer more pain than any other trauma patients. Having been through a 100 day hospital stay with my own family (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMT11zBt4Xo) I know they need all the thoughts are prayers they can get. Hang in there Amanda!!

This couple is a positive model of what airshow performers represent. Gracious people, great performance skills, and good for aviation. Having met them at Oshkosh, I can say that a more pleasant couple would be hard to find. She is indeed in our prayers. At the same time, consider Kyle, as his part in this drama is terrible to endure. It is heartbreaking to watch a loved one suffer, and not be able to do anything about it.

Thanks for the update. They are in my prayers. It is such a hard thing.

I am sorry to report that they put Amanda on comfort care today. Her body just has no more fight. Please keep Kyle and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Amanda passed a few hours ago. I'll miss her. She was always so happy and could turn any bad day into a great one with her smile alone. She brought a lot of energy to the shows. ICAS and the shows will not be the same anymore. :(

That long in intensive care must have run up a HUGE medical bill....... Kyle is gonna spend alot of time paying that off....

Quite a bit of money was raised through the airshow world for the bills. Last I heard it was a nice sum of money, but so are the bills. Hopefully there's not much left for Kyle to have to deal with.
