God put me here to accomplish a certain amount of things...right now I'm so far behind, I'll never die!!

Promeck Otter hits cliff, All Perish!! 9

I am NW of there a good ways. The WX was nice here until about 2:30 or 3:00 and those fast moving cells of what I call "rain thick" started moving and I mean FAST! The vis goes bad, not to zero but it certainly isn't comfortable. My dad and son were fishing a drainage about 7 miles away and got out of there ahead of it. The good news is that they sometimes move out just as fast, easy to outlast safely on the ground, but it sure doesn't do you any good if you've gotten yourself boxed in. Not saying that's what happened, Hell...the candle could have went out. We'll never know.

Prayers for those families. Sad day in SE.

I was flying South bound in BC during the same low pressure. Wind, waves, multiple ceilings, fog, turbulence... Needed to be very careful! But, still maintained VFR with significant diversions.

I last saw the Turbo Otter on Monday in the Ketchikan Harbor Channel. Was a beautiful aircraft, it was the best plane in Ketchikan in my opinion.

Very tragic to say the least.

Picture below: the same day during the frontal passage when they crashed. It was "hairy" in some spots:
