prop for 0290

I just picked up a project with an 0290 for it. It is experimental and I am wondering if anyone has flown a cub or pacer type plane with the 0290 and what they may have used as a climb prop. Its a pretty high drag airframe so I don't care about speed, just the best take off anf climb performance I can get out of it.

Re: prop for 0290

My Murphy Rebel has an O-290D2 and I'm currently equipped with a Warp drive 4 blade with nickel leading edges and tapered tips. Takeoff in 200', climb at 850-1000 fpm and cruise at 115mph at 2400 with 8.50's. The 31"s knock off a little bit on each of those numbers. It's a 69" prop running about 12.5 degrees (I think). Static RPM was set around 2300 if I remember correctly.

What kind of airframe do you have it on and which pistons do you have?

I'd call Catto and tell them what you have and what you want. They NAILED the O-290-G prop on my buddy's W-8 Tailwind.
