Alpine, make sure that if you recommend that PA-22 to anyone, you also strongly recommend that they take an experienced fabric airplane mechanic along to inspect it. The PA-22's are well known for getting corrosion in the fuselage frame down around and under the door frame. It's a very well known issue on that airplane.

BTW if you have a T-craft in Alaska, you should get to know Jim Brewer and his group of T-craft folks in and around Anchorage. Jim is AKBrew over on the Taylorcraft forum. Great guy and hooked up with people knowledgeable on T-crafts! If you ever get up to Fairbanks in the T-craft, look around for a silver 1940 BC-85 and a guy named Jack Schnurr... AKJack on the T-craft group. Jack is one of the best guys you will ever meet.

Re: PSA maybe a good deal

At first glance this one looks pretty forlorn, but a lot of that is the setting (tied down in a vacant lot). Looks like some nice features on that TriPacer: LH seaplane door, plex RH door, skylight, maybe extended wings (or at least good tips), factory 160-horse package including (I think) a c/s prop, plus 2 sets of floats. Like Alpine sez, with a $19.5K asking price it might be a good deal for the right buyer. It'd make a helluva nice taildragger.
