PSA: TFR Alert South of Boise 12-6-2014
Not necessarily information about airstrips or airports, but more general info about a greater area or a route of flight.

I did not know. I'll keep an eye out and try to catch a launch.
Would be very neat to skirt that TFR in a plane to get a birds eye view!

I noticed this a few days ago. Given the location, I'm pretty sure it's just the heavy duty model rocket guys shooting off some that go way up. Nothing from ATK (as far as I know, they never launched out there anyway, just test burns on the ground), in case that's what you were thinking. Probably wouldn't be able to see much flying by.
Now the Orion on the other hand, wish I had been flying closer inland on the east coast this morning!

There's another one even bigger at the north end of the Salt Lake.
I'm picking up a Savage Cub in Boise on Sunday. I will try to see if I can find out what's going on.

I asked the Boise tower guys one time and they didn't know much about it other than what the NOTAM said. Would be cool to find out what it is, even if it is just a hobbiest. Sometimes they have some cool toys.

I saw that one too.
Makes since about the model rockets since the TFR's are only up to 40-50k feet.
