Pull to the Left on Touchdown
Share tips, techniques, or anything else related to flying.
Hello all. I have a question. When doing a three point landing, with the engine idling (calm conditions, no wind), is it normal to experience a pull to the left on touchdown? I ask because with the engine idling, I would think there would be minimal p-factor, torque, gyroscopic procession or spiraling slipstream to cause this pull to the left.

Gravity Strikes Again.
Is the centerline between your legs and your rudder pedals moving dynamically and proactively to bracket said centerline rather than waiting for pull one way or the other?

What are you flying, and do you own it? You could look at gear alignment. Cessna products typically have tapered shims that fit between the axle and gear leg to adjust toe and camber. You'd need a mechanic and some grease plates, but it isn't hard or particularly time consuming. I've heard of rag and tube piper products having adjustments made with a 6' pipe...
