PUSH-PULL CONTROLS
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
Looking for input on where to get push-pull controls. I know McFarlane…
I don’t know if anybody checked the site or got a quote lately but they are very very proud of their stuff. I need a mixture cable for a A185F and it’s $780+. I get it by now… plane parts aren’t cheap.
Are there any other suppliers or competition?

Have you checked Aircraft Spruce? There's a lot of options on there in the $200-300 range. They work great in a Maule ha. My prop control (1/4-28 threaded end) was $250ish, mixture (solid wire) was $200.

I last flew Cessnas regularly in 2006, Aerial patrol companies used Aviall primarily and Lane if that didn't work. Aviall was next day or two at most.

Download my free "https://tinyurl.com/Safe-Maneuvering" e-book.
I went through this exact thing last year and ended up paying McFarlane the big bucks. At least their stuff is well built. Please post if you find an economical alternative?

My C180's records show an ACS (Aircraft Spruce) mixture cable being installed back in 1994.
There's a 337 showing it was a field approval,
based on the ACS STC for the various models of the C172.
STC # BA4519NM.
Field approvals are pretty tough to get these days, but who knows.
You might also check into ACS having an STC for your specific installation.
