Question about Wag-Areo floats

Does anybody have any information, know anybody using a set of these fiberglass floats...good/bad??
I'm tempted to go look at a set but they're 3hrs from me & sure would like to know if they're worth the effort performance wise.

Thanks

Here's a link to some info and opinions on LSA floats.

I know Ken Smith and Tom Bauer (bought a light amphib from them). Ken is very knowledgable and Tom is a talented builder. Ken would probably take your phone call and tell you what he knows about those floats.

I wasn't aware that Wag Aero ever sold floats for aircraft. They don't list any in their current catalog. I presume the floats you're referring to were built by someone other than Wag Aero.

Any idea who may have manufactured the floats?

Re: Question about Wag-Areo floats

Yes they are a homebuilt set, I assume from plans either produced by Wag-Areo at one time or maybe just sold by them....
that's about all I know.

That doesn't help much, actually.

I'm pretty sure Wag never produced a float. That would suggest that they were built by someone else.

And you won't get any useful information until you find out who actually designed and produced them.
