Great idea, cause, and a great effort Tom, by you and your friends. You probly have it pretty well figured out, but the one in Orofino Idaho is awfully nice if you need any other ideas. I'll put a check in the mail for ya, and be happy to help next summer.
Thanks Gary

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Re: RAF Pilot Shelters- an informal poll

Another, not RAF “Shelter” is the Air Camper Park at Fairbanks International Airport.

It provides individual parking spaces for planes, each equipped with tent pad and fire pit. There’s a shower house with toilets and a shelter for groups.

Take a look at google earth. This was built by the airport management. Bikes are provided by local 99s.

This is way bigger than what most airports need, but offers some ideas for smaller setup. The “cutouts for parking, with tent pad and fire pit, set back in trees are a really nice touch.

And, if you have a float pond nearby, transient seaplane folks can use it as well.

Nonrev, thanks for the offer! We do have stamped plans though. Building dept seems to be on board as well.
Thanks Gary!
MTV: Fairbanks facility looks awesome. Gotta get up there sometime. Thanks for the advice.
