Rag wing Prebuy in Grand Juntion CO.
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
My friend from Nulato found an Pacer in Grand Junction.
Any body know of a good rag wing Mechanic there to do a Prebuy.
If it all goes well he might need some one to fly it to Anchorage. Would be a free trip to the show.
Not sure if I'm going to have time to fly it up for him.

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
Wish I had more experience as an A&P and pilot and I'd do both, especially since I'm still unemployed....but, I don't have the experience so oh well. I don't know anyone over that direction very well at all.

Hector Brown at Aircraft Repair in Glenwood Springs: 970-928-7912. Tell 'im cubscout sent ya'.
Of course there's a good chance he's been maintaining this one, especially if it's the one I'm thinking of.
Thanks. cubscout

I know a really good mechanic in Boulder, CO that did my pre purchase on my 182. he has a 182 of his own and might be willing to fly over and take a look at it for you. Also, when do you want to plane delivered by? I might be interested in flying it up for ya if we can sort out some deal Always wanted to do that flight.

There is a guy in Hotchkiss, CO, which is about 60 miles from GJ who is a real good cub guy. Ernie Denton. Not sure how to track him down these days. Can't seem to dig up a phone number but I'll keep looking.

Earnie is the one who built this airplane a couple years ago and it only has about 100 hrs since he finished.
Thanks GT

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
Unless someone butchered it up since then, it's OK I'd wager. He's been at it a long time, and his father - in - law was a true master.

If it's green and white I've seen it through the fence when it was out of the hanger. Looks good and clean from that vantage. Ernie is a good guy with a good reputation around here.

"Colin
We were excited to heli in Silverton — until we saw the bird. Looking like something your stoner uncle built in the garage out of four Meccano sets, a fish tank, and an AMC Pacer, this helicopter seats a pilot plus two only, making it a tricky vehicle, logistics-wise, when your group has 8 people in it.
