Ok, now that this particular forum is starting to get some use, and since I have not created a proper airstrip database yet, I'd like to suggest some guidelines. In order to make this more useful to browsing users and anyone actually trying to find some information, please format your new topics with the following:
1) Subject: The name of the airport - identifier(if it has one) - location(town/area), state.
2) In the main post, give some approximate way to locate it, either thru lattitude/longtitude, or a VOR radial and distance.
3) Give us some useful info about runway elevation, length, obstacles, whatever.
4) A photo or two is always nice is you have them.
5) An inquiry post is ok too, just make the subject adhere to the format. Hopefully someone will chime in and provide the rest of the information.
Finally, these are just guidelines. I won't enforce it, but wouldn't it be nice to have this stuff in here? And when I finally do create the database (more work even that installing Spellcheck!) I will be able to stick this stuff in there.
Of course, if you want to keep your ultra sweet backcountry strip a secret, that's ok too. Go ahead, flaunt photos and tales of your golf course quality runway deep in the outback, you bastard.
Thanks,
Zane
