Recreational Aviation Foundation RAF

I know I have brought this up before. I got a letter today from the Recreational Aviation Foundation, RAF. I know a lot of you already know about this, so this is primarily for those that don't.

The RAF does a lot of behind the scenes work helping states to preserve existing backcountry strips, and to develop new ones. I have attached a copy of this letter to show you that this is an organization that does get shit done.

If it wasn't for groups like this, and there are other good ones, we wouldn't have a lot of the strips that we have today, to go do what we love.

So I bring this one to your attention so that if you feel like you would like to help keep this sport alive, and growing, this is a good way to help/participate.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Re: Recreational Aviation Foundation RAF

This is a good outfit. I've been in touch with them about volunteering to find suitable recreational locations for pilots in the Pennsylvania mountains. So far as I know their website is still functional. Here is the link: http://www.recreationalaviationfoundation.org/index.htm .
