Red Hills FINAL Fly-In Memorial Day Weekend 2024

Yes folks, you read that right. If you're one of the few that have been attending the Red Hills Fly-Ins over the years, this is the last one. Jack and Myrna Moyle, owners of the Red Hills strip are getting up there in years and are not able to host large groups any longer. So this Memorial Day weekend will be the last (semi-)organized fly in.

Families are welcome but please NO dogs!

Just like last year, this year's fly-in will be a little more laid-back. A time to reconnect with old friends and tell lies about our flying exploits. We also want to take time to remember our dear friends Bob "Hawk" Hawkins and Rich Finkle (rfinkle) who have flown west.

Friday is generally "arrival day" and there are no plans. This is also a "feed yourself" day.

Saturday activities include a breakfast fly out if you like, biking on the Red Hills trails, and the potluck dinner. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR SPECIAL ITEM FOR THE POTLUCK DINNER.

If you can't attend any other time try not to miss Sunday morning and Myrna's ranch-style breakfast! Breakfast is provided by the Moyle's. There is no cost to attend other than your photos. I ask that you send me any and all photos of the event so I can create a printed album for Jack and Myrna. This is all the payment they require.

If you are flying in and have not done so they must review the safety briefing and sign the liability waiver below. Please do not invite anyone who is not competent in backcountry aircraft operations. This is not the time to practice.

The liability waiver and safety briefing may be found at the following URL's:

The Liability Waiver can be signed online at: https://goo.gl/HgZsXO
The Safety Briefing Video has been relocated to: https://vimeo.com/390412439

We sincerely hope you all can make it! Jack & Myrna are looking forward to seeing all of you this year.

Sad to see this is the last one. I was never able to stop by, and won't be able to make it this year either. It looks like a really special place.

Capable pilots are still welcome to visit as always. Just no organized fly-ins from her on out. It's been a good run.
