When ever I see old videos like this I'm curious about the people and where they are today. I Googled James Johnson and found that he passed away back in 2003 at a fairly young age.He left a legacy in Canadian aviation according to his obituary. It can be found here
http://passages.winnipegfreepress.com/p ... s_Johnson/ This video is from 1980, but it reminds of a old timer, Rex Terpening 40 years before this time, who was a flight engineer back in the days when they where flying the Fokker's and Fairchild's in the pioneering days. Life was extremely hard for those folks and I doubt too many of the kids today could handle that kind of hardship. I read Rex's book, Bent props and blow pots a several years back, and learned he was still alive. I could not resist calling him up. He was still sharp a tack despite his age. The 1980's don't seem that long ago, but so much has changed since then.
