Renegade strip landing

Adding this vid here to complement my recent post to the "where did you fly today" thread here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=697&start=3220

I call it the "renegade strip" only because, according to google earth, there is a "renegade ranch" nearby. It's a north landing, south takeoff area about 1000+ ft long, on a decent slope. Fun spot, would be great for camping if I could ever get permission to land there

Pretty cool! Reminds me of the Ohio Bush Planes "Fiesta Bowl."

Cool spot Aaron. There are so many cool places in the hills stretching from Hollister all the way to Paso.

Nice video, how did you mount the camera?

Re: Renegade strip landing

I have a ski tab just behind and below the door with a 1/4 " hole in it. The contour camera has a mount with a std 1/4-20 threaded insert, just bolted it right on with a rubber grommet in between the camera and the ski tab...works perfect. The best part is that I can turn it on/off by just popping the door open in flight and reaching down =D>

Recently bought the nflightcam filter lens and getting waaay less prop artifact....still wish this one had a remote though.
