Reno Air Races

Who is going to be at this year's Reno Air Races? And what days? I'm planning on going out on sunday for the finals. The program is usually the same every day so it doesn't matter much what day you attend, unless weather moves in.

Whoever shows up from this site, we should get together and chat over some $6 beers.

My plan is to fly down for the weekend. I will land at Spanish Springs, N86. Zane is right so far as the displays, pit area, airshow and so on, every day is about the same. However the qualifying races differ and can be exciting. And I agree, the finals being on Sunday, it is the best day of the lot, to attend.

Posted a few shots from the races today. I don't have a very powerful zoom, so I don't even try to pass off some spec in the sky as a photo. These are mostly pit shots.

Doug,

You'll be happy to know that Rare Bear took it again, although not against much competition. Strega, Dago Red, and Critical Mass were out.

Attrition I believe, in the form of mechanical troubles. Heck, Mike Goulian didn't even perform because there was a fleet-grounding AD out on the CAP 232.
