Request for OLD Source:

I recently, sort of , mostly committed to write a short story for another pilot.
I have most of the sources of information I need except for ONE.

That "source" of information stated how to get fuel at Beaver Creek on the way north. We were to fly low over the Texaco Station on the edge of town a couple of times and head on out to the strip. I flew past it on the way in, looked to be open. Turned around and made the second lower pass, could see the roll-up doors were up. Made one last pass and saw a man waving us on out of town.

Question is:
What was the publication that I would have found that information in/on about 1984?

Hopefully
