Rio Vista Wings and Wheels event Oct 4th

This Sunday is the Rio Vista (O88) Wings and wheels event. There will be a lot of classic cars, some warbirds, an A10 flyover, food, ect. They are expecting around 2000 people and setting up a temp tower so this is not a small lame event. Check out http://www.oscar88.org for the flier and arrival procedures. I'll have my Avid and my Powered Parachute on display. Post up if you plan to attend so I can make plans to hook up with you.

Joey, we might be heading down there for Sunday, a couple of Cubs. Been following your project, love to check it out in person. I will be looking for the Avid.

I saw one Supercub on 31" Alaskan bush wheels. Was it anyone from here?

Unfortunately, I could'nt make it down on Sunday. I was at the Lincoln airshow on Sat though, and it got real interesting when Julie Clark lit the infield of the airport on fire with her performance. Sparks from her flares on her wingtips got the weeds and started a good 15 min fire. Anything good happen at Rio Vista?

The most interesting thing I saw besides the A10 Demo was a group of experimental single seat helicopters. One was a Helicycle with a turbine, one was this little tiny thing with an aircooled two stroke screaming at 7000 rpm constantly and the other was this weird two seat thing with a loud four stroke on it. All three were buzzing around several times. Here are a couple pics

Yup that's a turbine!

And people think I'm nuts for flying a PPC
