Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Re: ROCK n Roll

That would have wound up a spring. The hell with wind mills, harness gravity.

...remember, life is uncertain, eat desert first!
... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.

Re: ROCK n Roll

Coyote, that takes me back........to the '60s.
We (friends and I) used to go up to the mountains in AZ and spend several hours dropping LARGE rocks off short cliffs that ended in very steep terrain. We would use tree limbs as levers and move boulders that had been sitting there waiting for us for centuries. Some were as big as VW vans. A lot of them would rake/roll the cliffs to start them turning and then they would hit the incline and the rotation would get so fast that frequently centrifugal force would 'explode' them. Wow! Some real high places the ones that stayed together would go for 1/2 a mile. Then we found out the rangers were trying to track down the guys that were doing it-since it was against the law-and there were BIG fines for doing that. That was how we found out it was against the law. We were just HS kids, and the roads/forests/rocks/nothin' was posted about it. Man that was fun, but after that we really toned it down. Just dumb kids having what we thought was harmless fun....... How were we to know the world was becoming so damn serious??

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)

Re: ROCK n Roll

Glidergeek, I confessed and did penance.....
Confessed on BCP, and my penance was to spend a lifetime listening to 'Rock'...
I think the statute of elimination :) is up on all those bushes, shrubs, and trees we flattened.

Re: ROCK n Roll

Pops time to invest in some hiking boots maybe? I was waiting to hear you say...That's a steep sumbitch.

There's a video out there someplace of a guy doing that and hitting his own van at the bottom. Awesome place to land and go for a walk!!

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
