Rod tube on the wing struts

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Rod tube on the wing struts

Anyone done it? My Salmon rods are too long to get inside the Pacer so I'm thinking of attaching the rod tube to the struts using hose clamps. Basically I'm thinking of a clamp on the forward and rear strut, that passes through a set of clamps on the rod tube itself...kinda a figure 8 deal if my explanation makes sense...

Anyone have, or use a similar set up?

Suggestions, ideas, and photos much appreciated!

And yes...I have extensive experience flying external loads; and no, it's not a problem for the "feds" here if it's done on a private airplane operating under the CofA that my plane is operating under.

Thanks in advance for any sage advice! :)

Bungee to the jury struts. Works with rifle cases.
