Friday or Saturday works best for me too. I'm down for the North or South Circuit. What is everyone else thinking?

Re: Sac valley flying 12/29,30 or 31st??

We should do Saturday...here is the current weather for Friday

From the NOAA site: Friday 30th, 2011 -Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Snow level 8000 feet. Highs 45 to 50. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Ridge gusts up to 95 mph.

No so concerned about the precip as I dont think its going to be much of anything. Winds are however a big factor. Saturday will be good. We just need to figure out where to meet.

OK, let's plan Saturday. Actually need to repitch my prop anyway, so give me a maintenance day too.

Either circuit works for me to. Depending on where we decide to go, let's decide where to meet. If we go South, would be faster for me to meet you guys in Minden. North, maybe just Truckee or Nervino.

I'm kinda leaning towards the north circuit just because I feel there are a lot more spots close by that we can hit. To keep the enroute time down we could just meet on the south side of the circuit at Sierraville orTotem Pole 2 maybe?

Weather is looking real good for the weekend. 830 works for me! See you there. For those not there by say 9am we will be north of KTRK on our company freq...124.20. I monitor both. Would be fun to go from KTRK up to Susanville and back. Lots and lots and lots of landings between here and there for certain as most of you know. Already looking forward to it...

Rob, if you guys want to come to Cameron Park Friday night, I'll get you and our guest room is open! They are almost always out of the valley fog. Let me know - happy to have you guys.

That would be great but we don't want to leave our doggie at home all alone.

Sac valley flying 12/29,30 or 31st??

Showing up late to this thread. Where is the initial rendezvous point? Truckee? I'll be there if I can get out of the fog like the rest of the flat landers. Or I'll try to catch up later.

Re: Sac valley flying 12/29,30 or 31st??

I hope there is no fog down here too...I got bit by that pesky marine layer today, took my father-in-law up and around for a couple of hours, returned to a socked in MRY, ILS, missed to SNS, ILS to mins. I'll have to pick the plane up at SNS tomorrow... #-o The fog hasn't been around all month here and now it seems to be hanging out again.

If wx isn't an issue, I should be able to make 0830...Kurt, are you good for a 0700 p/u?

Weather is calling for party cloudy and light winds tomorrow. Blowing pretty good over the summit now. Will be at the hanger in the AM. Dont push to get here. If you come later on we will be north. I have a feeling you guys are going to have fog. Lets hope not. See you soon

With the help of piperpainter I have strategically placed my plane at KAUN and hopefully out of the valley fog. We will catch a ride with him out of Nut Tree IFR if needed to go get the 170 in the morning and hopefully we will all be in truckee by 830. :D
