I need to go to the VA Hospital that is about a half mile from the terminal at Mather for a bit of testing in about a month. Plan is to fly down and walk to the Hospital. My concern is what is the neighborhood like down there. If there is anybody on this site that knows the area I would like to here from them.

I've never had any trouble around there, pretty nice area really. We have an office nearby, give me a shout when you come down and I'll give you a ride if I'm around.

I've not been there for years, but as I recall, it was in a decent area. I'd not think twice about the citizens there if I was doing what you propose.
