I see you're almost at the state line. Well, about 20 minutes or so from the line. How far do you have to go after that?

Yeah, I see you've slowed down some. The dots are a little closer together. I thought you might be climbing or something.

Got back home this afternoon. Great trip, albeit too short. Had a great time, and met a lot of great new people. Thanks everyone!

Back safe and unpacked. Great meeting, well I'd like to say everyone but at 70+ people there wasn't time. Great place, great potluck, and a fantastic experience. Learned a thing or two, I hope. Looking forward to more.

Re: Safely back from Johnson Creek.

Made it home after a grueling hour & 15 minute flight.Oh wait, it was the 12 mile hike today that was long. Actually didn't even leave JC until 7:30 this evening when the air was nice and smooth and had a nice quick trip home. I really did enjoy meeting everyone that I could. What a fantastic bunch of people! I am happy to think of you as my friends. Already looking forward to next year. :D

Re: Safely back from Johnson Creek.

Home in Portland after a 4 hour drive, after a 4 hour flight from JC to Grants Pass. Nice flight home even if it was a little warbly in the midday sun. Pics later, I'm beat. Great time this weekend and a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones.

Re: Safely back from Johnson Creek.

Hey everyone. I'm brand new to the site and had an absolute blast at Johnson Creek. My dad Rick and I (Aaron) flew in Saturday morning in our yellow Stinson 108-3, and our friends in a 172 straight tail. It was a pleasure to meet all of the people I talked to, and hope to meet more of you. I'm sure i learned a few things while I was there too. I look forward to another backcountry fly-out. Say hi if you remember me or my dad, Thanks

Aaron

Re: Safely back from Johnson Creek.

Welcome to the site Stephen, your knowledge and experience are a welcome addition to the community. It was a pleasure chatting with you by the fire saturday evening.

And welcome Aaron, it was great to see your Stinson show up on Saturday - mine was the tan/brown one parked across from you. I took a look at yours but never ran into you, hopefully next time! The final Stinson count was seven, great showing for the type!

Home and all unpacked...7.9 hours yesterday in two legs in the Avid and it was 102 when I landed on the other side of Sac...pretty miserable weather after the past couple mornings at JC. Great meeting everyone. Thanks for being our guide on Saturday Steve!!
