I have an upcoming flight in my 185 that will take me approximately from Salt Lake to San Diego. Any not to miss locations to stop along the way?

Chicken Strip is where I'd like to check out if it were me.

Looks like your route takes you right by the Bacon Strip, east of Barstow.

Great options. I've spent a lot of time at Ibex, including auto towing gliders on the hard pan. Also great rock climbing, hiking, etc. Chicken Strip will definitely be on my list. I'll also stop by Bacon Strip. I'll be hanging around San Diego for several days so if there are any good day trip locations, let me know.

I dunno when you are coming this way, but we are supposed to have some pretty nasty rain for the next few days.
