San Juan Islands

We might be at Eastsound (Orcas Island) Washington this Saturday and may be looking for a place to camp Sat night. Anybody know a place that is a short flight from there in a 182 that is somwhat secluded.

They let you camp at Orcas, but if you want it a little quieter you are welcome to camp in my field, I live next to Lopez Island airport. If you had a cub you could land in the field. I won't be here but let me know if you want to come and I'll tell you how to get here. It is about 1000 foot walk from the airport........Ron

800 feet with fences on each end, uphill to the south east and very rough. I've had the 180 in it but it has to be done just right. With the cub it is a synch.....Ron

Tim, there is a flyin at Concrete(3W5) Fri-Sun. I'll be there it's a short distance from Orcas or if you would rather you're welcome to stay at my place in Arlington(KAWO)

It would only be about 1000 feet to walk from the plane at Lopez Airport to the field, or you could camp in the woods by my shop, that would be about 300 feet.....Ron

Tsk, Tsk, Ron. Doesn't your business card say something about excavation? I would think you'd have that field plenty smooth by now! :)
