Sandpoint to Cavanaugh bay

I was up at a buddy's strip near Sandpoint, ID a few weeks ago and we flew over to Cavanaugh Bay for dinner. I recently got a Hero 4 Silver so I've been playing with it a bit. I finally got a new computer that halfway keeps up with Gopro Studio, so I've been playing with it a bit.

On this particular flight, right about rotation I discovered my ASI was inop due to some yellow bellied sapsucker crawling in the pitot. I decided that a formation approach was an easy way to nail the approach. I also decided an AOA is in my future.

1. Great video!

2. I've not landed Cavanaugh Bay to the north before. Cool.

3. Great formation flying and landing.

4. You friend's strip near Sandpoint... On the lake? If so would he extend landing permission to BCP'ers to land there? :P

Thanks! I'd love to share the strip, but it's not mine to share. I was trying to play nice neighbor landing north and departed south. I figured an 86" 2 blade barking by the restaurant may have upset a few folks.

I agree with you. FWIW, the owner is making noise about retiring from his real job and doing some float training out of the lake. Fly in to his place, stay for a weekend, leave with a float rating. If and when he decides to do it, I'll share it on the board.

I have a seaplane rating already but would not mind a refresher course. :P

A tip for those (passengers) who are interested in fly in wine tasting, Walla Walla has about a dozen small tasting rooms on the field, all within a few blocks of the transient tie downs at the resturant.
