Santa Catalina Island via floats (and wheels)

Planning a trip to Santa Catalina island. Will be alighting in the various lakes and reservoirs enroute. Anybody want to meet at "Airport in The Sky" for a REAL "Buffalo Burger"? We can discuss what happened to Natalie Wood. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natalie_Wood

When were you planning on being there? I was just there a couple of weeks ago.

OK Boys (Blokes) and Girls (Sheilas):

My first day's flight plan. I usually alighted in Lake Shasta and take a short swim when following HWY (5).

Note: Weather, Logistics, Aircraft Configurations not factored (yet)

It was really nice, weather was perfect. I didn't take very many pics, ill see what I have. We flew into Chino CNO on our way Montgomery MYF for the night. We parked at Gibbs in Montgomery, its a cool fbo. When we departed we flew direct to Catalina, had lunch and headed back to the central valley, im based our of DLO, Delano. A good fuel stop for you on your way down may be Oakdale, O27. The fuel is like 3.55 a gallon.

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your PIREP. $3.55 nice!

You have a short flight (D)--> from DLO. (NOTE: RHUMB line intersects Surface "B")

Well then. If I see you at "Airport in the Sky", we could go for a spin in my amphib... Touch down in some calm coves i.e. Isthmus Cove, Toyon Bay, Goat Harbor, Parons Landings etc...
