SCH-2A Microcopter

Looks like a fun experiment under “controlled conditions”.

Re: SCH-2A Microcopter

Back about 1980 I bought a set of blueprints for an ultralight-legal helicopter. When I realized it used a turbo-charged McCullagh chainsaw engine that produced 50 hp and had a TBO of 25 hours, a forgot about that idea real quick. Hopefully this is a lot better designed.

Re: SCH-2A Microcopter

At first I thought how “cool”! But, after reminding myself how challenging vertical flight is, I must say it looks pretty dangerous. With about 500 hours PIC (R22, R44) I probably would pass flying this machine. However, the concept is worth observing.
