Scott,

Great pics. Schafer is really on my list of places I'd like to go soon. Thanks to everyone who participates in these work parties. It looked like it actually turned into a good size little fly-in.

This is a great shot:

Re: Schafer Meadows 2010

I was returning Sunday morning to Schafer after dropping my kid off at Choteau. Six of us decided to stay until Monday. When I got back virtually everybody but us six had already left. Looks like we'll be going back on Aug 13th for the weekend. Trying to get some local people here to go up there.

Bonanza Man:

Have you done any fishing there? I was going to try and make a trip in August to Schafer and I was curious if the fishing was any good. Any thoughts on how to get some good info on that?

Thanks for the pictures!! I am going to go home tonight and start packing!!

Regards, Larry

Re: Schafer Meadows 2010

I fished while I was there. I'm not much of a fisherman but have no problem catching 6-8 inch trout with a spinning rig. One of the guys that shows up every year is much more serious about it and he catches 10-15 better sized ones every time he leaves camp. You can talk to the rangers based there, they sometimes have some good info.
