Seaplane Decontamination (Invasive Species)

Here is a excellent educational video, produced with the help of Walter Windus (Chairman SPA) and Bruce Hinds (WSPA, SPA BOD) and quite a few others; on decontamination of flying boats, floats and amphibious aircraft. http://jasonjamesbaker.wordpress.com/20 ... amination/

I don't see how you can inspect the hull bottoms on straight floats without hauling it out of the water. So far we don't have any zebra mussels in the cold northern lakes. I've seen some pretty bad weed problems in the more southern lakes though. I'll do my bit by keeping an eye out for vegitation hung up on the rudders. I'd hate to see my deep clearwater lake go the way of some of those southern lakes.
