Seaplane fly wire tension?

The thread about the V brace for a 140 made me wonder if my fly wires are installed properly. My '53 180 came with the fly wires from wing root to opposite engine mount, it was on floats from '55 to '96. I get lots of creaking on the ground, I sometimes hold lightly onto the intersection of the wires to keep my hand busy, in really rough air I can feel the wires moving back and forth in relation to each other. Clearly there is flexing going on. My airframe has about 7000 hours.

I am wondering if there is a specified tension or installation instruction to reference?

The stc for that particular v brace wire set is owned by wipaire. The install instructions have the data on how to tension. Unfortunately I don’t have it easily available, you might call them.
