I gotta agree with you. Looks to be a good deal. Just watch any of "Backcountry182's" YouTube videos to see what a 182 is capable of. I had a lot of fun with mine both on 29" ABW's, and on 8.50's.

OTOH, a good, older friend of mine (late seventies, been flying sixty years) owned, enjoyed, and flew the heck out of a tricycle Maule for over twenty years. I doubt there are any half decent LZ's in WA or ID, that he hadn't hit. Loved it. Eventually sold it and got a late model 206 for modern IFR avionics and hauling capacity.

Hard to go wrong. Good luck and post photos of what you wind up getting!
