Seats for Exp.
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
Has anyone used any of the racing seats in there experimental?
Am looking at a couple of circle car or sprint car seats.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The few racing seats I've dealt with (4x4 racers) had curved - wrap-around - sides.
I believe same with some "top down" entries - old biplanes - war planes - etc.
So - I would not put it in something like a Champ - Piper J4 - J5 - etc.
Could even be difficult in Cessna 100 series. Had enough trouble getting in and out of my 170B with stock seats - especially with the ABWs on. Extra weight?

Chris, I have lots of room, more or less a experimental turbine Broussard, single seat in the front with 6 more (I mean 5 ) and some room for baggage behind them. Moving the panel a foot forward.

Well now -

- With half of an AN-2 - I would put in whatever feels good.

Maybe a Stratolounger.
Curious - You going to keep one of seat locations or move to the center?
My only experience with a "wrap-around" seat was in the front hole of an N3N.
Enjoy the process

I have not tried the racing seats in a plane but the most comfortable racing seat I ever sat in was the Beard off road seats. On my 175 project plane I am using seats from a Honda CRV I got from my grand daughters wrecked car. I road a bunch of miles in them and found them very comfortable and they are 3way electric and heated. They also weigh exactly the same as the Cessna 3way seats.

I will find out. All I know at this time is the car is blue, the seats are leather and very comfortable for me.

Walter 601D Modified wing, fuselage, adding float fittings to fit Beaver floats.
Using VR Avionics TSLM,
