Sebago Lake, Maine, Ice Runway & Air Show

To the New Englanders on the forum...does anybody know where we get information for the fly-in during Derbyfest? http://www.icefishingderby.com/ I'd like to fly and land on the ice runway but I can't find the procedures, frequencies, requirements, etc.

I found this site from last year. http://www.sebagolakeairshow.com/ I called the Rotary Club's number at the bottom of the page and left a message. If I get info back then I'll post it.

Sebago Lake Maine, ice fly in

The website for this year is www.icefishingderby.com . Most of the action is going to be in the Point Sebago cove home of Point Sebago. I have yet to find any info on an open fly in. They might not have a runway this year as it seems that a lot of helicopters and hot air balloons will be their requiring no runway. The cove is pretty tight and as of last week the Maine state warden service had to pull a man, dog and snowmobile out of the water. Both survived. My parents live around the corner in Kettle Cove and I have never been able to land on the ice their due to the thickness. The same conditions of NO ICE are just outside the Point Sebago Cove. Two years previous the ice runway was in Jordan bay at the raymond beach off rt.302. Their is ice their now and is filled with ice shacks since the last time I went by. If their is a runway this year it would probably have to be here. I'll try to call the rotary club tomorrow and get some info. Mary Tate now Mary Build website is www.naplesseaplane.com

Also, does anyone attend the Alton Bay fly-in in NH? As of now their is no info or plans for this year. Website http://www.aanh.org/

Flew the 180 onto the ice at my home today at long pond. Been so windy the snow has drifted and I had to drag a pallet behind the old sled over the weekend to pack it down. 500' - 30' is what I measured. A little short and still a little rough. Will have to post some pics when I get a chance.
