Seeking Featured Bush Planes

You know who you are. You've put a lot of time, work, and money into your bird, and you want to share it with those who would appreciate and even lust over it. You want the world to see what your idea of the ultimate bush plane is, or how much you were able to improve upon a ramp mummy. You like long hydroplanes on the beach and cuddling up with a good book about Acceptable Methods, Techniques, and Practices for Aircraft Inspection and Repair.

Join the ranks of the Featured Bush Planes on BCP!

Big-tired Pponked 182? Tricked out Maule M5? Working Beaver on floats? Lovingly restored 1986 Maxair Drifter ultralight? If you can write about it in detail with enthusiasm, and provide sharp photos or video, let's get you published. All new articles are shared with all our social media avenues, and featured on the homepage.

Your reward? Fame, notoriety, pride. Fortune? Not so much. This content though helps us get advertising pennies and keep the site running, so it comes full circle to entertain everyone here.

When you have a section for clapped-out old Stinsons with peeling paint, let me know; I'm your guy :)

A working airplane?

94U had about 25,000 hours on her when I had her up in Kotzebue. She's one of the Queens of the Fleet down in Bethel now, and I'm betting about 35,000 hours on the airframe. Same beautiful paint job, finest leathers in the interior, glass cockpit and FMS to take you anywhere, any time.... Oh wait, none of that shit.

Did Hoser enjoy flying? My dog hates flying just a little less than she hates being left behind.

You couldn't keep that dog out of an airplane. He loved every minute. Or, the back of the pickup. He bit at cars as they passed the other way. Semi's were even better. Two snaps.

Actually, a working 207 with 35,000 hours on it is very interesting. The depth of the story there has potential.

Agreed Zane. That is a seasoned bush plane. Sorry for the thread drift.

Most Sleds still flying are up in the 20-30K range now. Tough birds.

My supercub had almost 29,000 hours when I sold her...most of those pipeline hours.

I'm sure missing her now #-o
