SFAR 73 (High Plains Drifter) in Bend, Oregon

Leading Edge Aviation, Bend Oregon, is a great place to fly, overhaul and buy parts for Robinson.

Today a cool clear morning in the high desert for an SFAR 73 and BFR: My instructor was very good. Image

Always been interested in helicopters, even though they are way above my financial capabilities. What is the average cost to get a rotor rating? Several years ago I had checked around for curiosities sake, but there wasn't even any places to train within 100 miles.

I'll be in Grants Pass the middle of March, may have to take a trip up to Bend.

I highly encourage getting your rating(s) at Leading Edge Aviation. The cost varies on what type of helicopter and your flying goals are, as you would expect. Call and ask for the helicopter instructor named Adam. Explain your goals and I’m pretty sure he can help estimate the cost. The desert weather is very good year around (not always) for flight training.

Let me know if I can answer anything else.

Highly recommend these guys, did their 141 commercial add on, little over 10k if you fly every day and hit it full time
