We are getting lots of rain and snow here in Montana. Has anyone been into either of these strips lately? Late in the season last year Meadow Creek had three foot tall grass that really gave a lot of drag on takeoff......come on summer and blue skies to all! .......and use the bear boxes to store food at both these airstrips. The bear poop in the proximity of these strips contains hikers boots and bells, and an occasional E6B..signifying grizzly habitat.

Hopefully summer will decide to come sooner than later. We are planning on camping at one or the other the third week of June.

There's a snotel station about 10 miles east of Schafer in Badger Pass that's still showing 50 inches of snow, but that's at 6900 ft. I called the Spotted Bear Ranger Station and was told that there have already been a few flights into Schafer this year, so I'd assume it's probably clear.
