Re: Silo Killing

I've chopped down two concrete silos in my lifetime with sledge hammers, it never crossed my mind to shoot them to death. My way was a lot cheaper, but I'm sure not as much fun. Good stuff!

Silo tiles are very useful for other things, save them.

Re: Silo Killing

Too cool! I'm waiting for the cops to come arrest me for viewing that... NZ not to bad yet, but in Australia you can barely even think the word 'gun' without some bleeding heart anti-gun lobbyist trying to have you locked up...

We had to surrender all our semi-auto weapons in a taxpayer funded buyback a few years ago. They paid good money for the guns. I had several chinese SKK's bought new for around A$300.00, they paid $600 each and an additional $50 for each magazine. It was quite heartbreaking watching them crush thousands of guns in a large hydraulic press... :( And I doubt it's had any significant impact on the gun related crime in Aus.

I even had to register my Daisy BB gun on my license!

F*k it. Time to move to Ohio. Looks like a safer way to take down a silo than this guys technique.

That "Little Bird" you saw that was flying the power line ROW was a Minuteman Inc. helo out of Columbus. I talked to the guy that flies it at the Cambridge airport a couple weeks ago. Here are a few pics:

Re: Silo Killing

Well, I've drilled holes with guns, 22 for little hole shotgun for big hole, I've shot down Christmas trees 'cause we just wanted the top 15 feet not the bottom 40 feet. And I have even shot my remote control planes out of trees but that silo killing takes the cake.

Party on dude.

Actually violent crime in Australia went up significantly right after the bans were enacted.

If my choices are a well respected website like snopes that regularly debunks lies without any partisan slant or a website that proudly has a partisan passion and then, as an alternative to snopes, suggests a fact-check website that *only* has articles about how evil the left is, I pick snopes.

So, fine, you reject snopes on the basis of a random, admittedly politically driven, website. Here's a completely different set of folks who came to the same conclusion: http://www.factcheck.org/2009/05/gun-co ... australia/
