Any suggestions on home brewing a simple audio panel together ? For a single person buzzing around alone who needs just an audio panel to take in different input sources, all the bells and whistles can be overkill. No fancy 6 station intercom needed thank you.
I am also curious re the use of DB style connectors like a DB27 or DB25.

Lesson learned: If I were to wire things up today, I would use DB27 connectors everywhere. That would facilitate making changes like adding new equipment.
